Terms of use
Version 2026-11-01.
These terms are an agreement between you and OpenI Partners LLP, Maharashtra, India ("OncoBook", "we"). Please read them with our Privacy promise and Community rules, which are part of these terms. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What OncoBook is, and what it is not
- OncoBook helps people with breast cancer and their families understand their illness, talk with others who have been through it, and reach oncologists that OncoBook has checked on the medical council register.
- OncoBook is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital.
- OncoBook does not replace your treating doctor. Information in the app, answers from the AI and posts by other members are general information, not medical advice. Always discuss decisions about your treatment with your own oncologist.
2. Who can use OncoBook
- You must be 18 or older and able to make a binding agreement under Indian law.
- One account per person, signed in with your own mobile number. Keep your phone and sign-in codes to yourself.
- A family member or caregiver may use OncoBook for themselves. Do not share another person's health details without their permission.
3. Ask an AI
- The AI's answers are written automatically and can be wrong or out of date. They are an opinion, not medical advice: check them with an oncologist.
- Free use is limited (currently 3 new AI answers a day) and may change.
4. Ask an oncologist and video consultations
- Oncologists on OncoBook are independent doctors. OncoBook checks their registration but does not control their medical judgement. The oncologist, not OncoBook, is responsible for the medical opinion they give.
- A written answer or a 12-minute video call is a second opinion based on what you share. It is not a full examination and may not be suitable for every situation; the oncologist may advise you to see a doctor in person.
- Your first written question is free.
- Please be on time for a booked call, and cancel in the app if you cannot attend.
5. Conversations with other members
- Follow the Community rules: be kind, share experience not medical advice, no miracle cures, no selling or asking for money, protect privacy.
- What you post is seen by the people in that group or chat. Do not post phone numbers, addresses or anything you would not want others to read.
- OncoBook's moderators and rule-based (automatic) helpers may hide a post that breaks the rules, and may pause or close an account that keeps breaking them. A hidden post can be reviewed by a person on request.
- Messages are kept for at most 2 years. Chat messages are deleted automatically 2 years after they were written, or earlier if you delete them, switch off "People at your stage" or delete your account. Please keep your own copy (Download my data) of anything you want to keep.
- Moderation uses fixed rules, not AI. Today, the automatic helpers that check messages follow fixed rules and run on our own servers. We will not use an AI service to read your messages unless we first update our privacy promise and you agree to it again in the app.
6. What you must not do
- Pretend to be someone else, or pretend to be a doctor.
- Sell or advertise anything, ask for money, or promote "cures".
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Try to break into OncoBook, read other people's data, copy the service with automated tools, or upload harmful files.
- Use OncoBook for anything unlawful.
7. Your content
- What you write stays yours. You allow OncoBook to store and show it to the people you chose, only to run the service as described in the Privacy promise.
- You can delete your account at any time (Settings → Your privacy & data).
8. OncoBook's content and name
- The OncoBook name, logo and app belong to OpenI Partners LLP. Please do not copy them without permission.
9. Changes and availability
- We may improve, change or stop features. We try to keep OncoBook running but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
10. Ending your use
- You can stop using OncoBook and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why where the law allows.
11. Limits on our responsibility
- To the extent the law allows, OncoBook is not responsible for decisions you make based on information in the app, the AI or other members, or for the medical opinion of an independent oncologist.
12. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
13. Questions and complaints
- Grievance Officer: Vanessa Banduni, vanessa@openi.ai.
